I am passionate about high quality, responsive public services and am keen to use my considerable experience in bringing citizens, commissioners and providers together in designing and delivering the right solutions for Wales in the future.
I worked for 32 years in the public sector, 19 of these in Wales. I held a range of positions in councils in London and the Southeast of England focusing on corporate policy and performance management, before joining the WLGA in 2002. Here I initially supported corporate improvement across Welsh councils, going on to head up the Social Services Improvement Agency and then becoming Policy Lead for Social Services, playing a key role in the development of the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act.
Working in West Wales from 2013, I led on the establishment of the statutory Regional Partnership Board (RPB) and the oversaw the development and delivery of a wide-ranging regional programme for the integration of health and social care.
