Developing a Healthy Organisation

As part of our 20th anniversary celebration, we wanted to focus on an issue that is at the forefront of leaders' agendas: How do you develop and sustain a Healthy Organisation?

We have undertaken valuable research over the past six months, with organisations from across public, private and third sectors, to identify common challenges and solutions for creating healthy organisations. We held an event at Sophia Gardens that brough together leaders from across sectors to explore the importance of a healthy workforce by challenging assumptions around budget cuts and sharing examples of best practice.

This was an invitation to further collaborate with us and peers, and to help shape the vision of a healthy organisation.

Developing Healthy Organisations Workshops

One of the best ways to identify how your organisation can become stronger, healthier and more resilient is through our Developing Healthy Organisation workshops. We offer an initial workshop with Senior Management, Executive Teams and Heads of Department from your organisation, exploring the key elements of what makes a Healthy Organisation.

These sessions are facilitated by Practice Solutions associates with extensive experience in delivering leadership and organisational development.

Benefits from the workshop:

  • The session identifies a clear internal line of direction for your organisation, agreed by all participants
  • Each workshop results in a detailed report for your organisation, outlining results from the workshops, areas of good practice and suggested future pathways for development
  • You will be offered the opportunity to join a peer-leaders network around Healthy Organisations
  • You will also be given a collated (anonymised) report looking at cross sector issues and common threads across the workshops

Workshop setup

Our facilitators guide participants through a series of stimulating, thought-provoking and insightful tools that help develop and build upon their existing strategies.These help identify the key areas affecting the organisation before using a range of tools to agree a direction of travel.

The sessions are designed to give leaders and key personnel the space and time to either develop existing strategies, or identify new models of working.

We work with groups of 7 – 25 depending on the need of the organisation and sessions can either be hosted in your office or at the Practice Solutions office in Abercynon.

The session includes specific, tailored exercises based around your organisations individual experiences.
