The whole of the Risk Assessment workshop was very helpful; I liked the fact that the trainer was very positive around not denying people their rights and involving them as much as possible in decisions. The training focused on values, empowerment and self determination for service users.

In general terms, Digital media encompasses digital video, digital pictures, digital audio, and the Internet. Other technologies, such as CDROMs, audio CD's and DVD’s are used as platforms to create and distribute digital content. Practice Solutions specialise in the creation of digital media projects within the health and social care sector.
Furthermore we have the knowledge, expertise and capacity to work with you, your staff, or service users to produce and create a bespoke digital product that can benefit everyone involved. We can train and work with a nominated production team on a specific project, within a specific timeframe, in a location away from their usual environment that enables the people involved to learn new skills and explore alternative ways of working and engaging with others.
Something tangible, such as a digital film, at the end of a project is a great way of enabling participants to realise their ability to succeed as an individual and as a team.
“Digital media is a powerful tool in giving service users a voice. Training people to use a camera to create DVDs facilitates participation in a new way - putting users and carers in the driving seat.”
